The first of March we will be opening Oak Grove's first ever Art Gallery. We are hoping to start featuring some local artists in the following weeks. Until then we will be featuring some of our art work and a few that we have secured from others. We will be hosting several get togethers and functions at the gallery as well as letting others borrow the space to use for special functions. It should be pretty cool. Its not a large space, but room enough for 50 or so guests, cool art work and we will have a large screen tv for any presentations. The gallery will be located at 1211 S. Jeffrey Bake and his wife Andrea have relocated to Oak Grove and brought along their love of people, art, community and photography. Together they have created Nintz Photography, specializing in Weddings, Artistic, and Journalistic Photography. “We capture memories in artistic ways. Some might call it Photo Journalism... I'm not so sure about that. We try hard to make the pictures catchy and fashionable. To make it art you would want to share or put in a book or on a wall. But it's all about the CLIENT and sharing who THEY are with Simple, Clean, and Bright photos that will not be outdated in 10 years.” The name Nintz itself comes from perseverance. “Art and Photography are ways for us to persevere in this life and to make a lasting impression.” Andrea has been working in her home country of Costa Rica as a Graphic Designer and Photographer for several years for small companies and a family ran printing company.
“I first held a camera when I was 12. I asked for a camera for my Christmas gift and got a Kodak film camera, since then I have been in love with the camera. It’s a way for me to show others how I see the world. I want to show people other views of the things around them” And that is just what she is doing now here in Oak Grove. Jeff is a graduate of Oak Grove and has “always preferred to be behind the camera instead of in front.” Currently also working for Hallmark he is hoping to someday make the photography company, and soon to open, Art Gallery his career. “From the first wedding I ever shot I was spoiled. It was such an honor to spend time with people on such a special occasion and be asked to be the one (or two in this case) that are responsible for recording that day forever.”
“We want to give everyone High End Photography... at NOT high end prices. We have even bartered trades in services for weddings in the past. Why not? In this day and age we all need a little help and people deserve to have that day they way they want it,” He said.
Currently they are building a new Photography Studio in Oak Grove at 1121 S. Broadway and will be opening with an Art Gallery that they want to be for the community. “We want a place that local people can be featured in a Gallery and get seen. Where young artists can start building a resume and have their art shown off the way they dream. We are striving to make something different with Nintz and to make it a company that people respect for the art and photography it produces and the work it does with the community.” They are currently booking weddings and all photography needs. The Gallery is set to open by the first of March.

To celebrate this "Week of Love" we are offering to anyone that books a wedding with us this week a free engagement photo session (or seperate bridal shoot if you already have those engagement shots). We decided this year to put an ad in the local papers bridal section. We are pretty much focusing on Weddings and Fashion/Seniors, but still have lots of people calling for families and we do love spend time with all of our friends(YOU).

We are doing a "Be my Valentine" mini-session at Holly's Floral and Gifts in Oak Grove, MO on Feb 4th! Its the first one of the year and our first time working with Holly. Plus you get a coupon to use towards a floral arrangement for Valentine's Day. Bring your loved ones in, but be sure to book your time first.

We are proud to announce that the new site is up and running. We decided to create a second portfolio site only and keep this as our page about us and our information. Once things settle we are also going to setup our Gallery Page for the art that we have created along the way. The new page and portfolio of our work with our clients is now on www.nintzphotography.com and we are moving all of our work there. We also started a newsletter and a google plus page that you can sign up for specials and announcements on the mailing list page or on the about page at the bottom. We have the pleasure this week of working with Kerstin this weekend in Kansas City helping her get some maternity photos that she had thought she ran out of time for. Hopefully we can hook up with her and take some of the beautiful baby in a few weeks.

We had a great time last night shooting pictures for the Robb family. I say that today because last night Heidi Barnhill married Zach Robb and became the Robb family. To top it off; I even got to sign the marriage certificate thanks to a weird chain of event's that I am not going to worry about. All I know is that I got to sign it! and Andrea and I had a great time. Some of the shots were very difficult trying to get moonlight behind, with bright lights behind them and nothing in front, was a chore and I wish we had more time to spend with them. The event was beautiful and we will have some beautiful pictures up soon. I do want to say... Congratulations to the couple! We will see you soon with the proofs.

We spent over an hour with Mark, Christy, and Tyler Melhorn Saturday and got some awesome shots of them around their home in Oak Grove, MO. Tyler even showed us his trampoline and their 4-wheeler. It was a beautiful morning and we were able to keep dry and somewhat cool taking family portraits and one or two fashion photography shots of Mark. ;) Anyway, we have most of the pictures done and ready, hopefully we can get them posted today and the CD mailed out to them. They were great to have us in and around their home. Once we get the pictures uploaded we will post the link to our gallery.

So Excited that we are headed to our first show invited this time as Nintz next week. We will be in Mountain Home, Arkansas with a selection of our Non-Wedding shots for people to purchase. Hopefully this will be our first of many, but at least its our FIRST. :)
